Testimonials

Stand out from the crowd

I am a social work from the CM16+ Team Southend on Sea Borough Council. I have few of my young people placed with Canary House Care and I’m so pleased with the staff members since my involvement with them. Not only do they never give up on our young people, but they always make them feel important and respected.
Their way of supporting young people has evidenced that they promote independent living and care that respects young people’s rights, choice, privacy and dignity. As a social worker, I feel very privileged to be working alongside the staff. They don’t just support the young people; they also support me

I am very happy with the work Canary House Care has provided for our young people. They are very hands on and all of our young people are supported using a person centred approach. Each child is supported individually according to their needs and the Canary House staff are also respectful of each service users wishes and feelings.
The Staff engage in regular key working sessions and produce, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports which have kept me regularly updated regarding my young person’s developments in education, health and overall wellbeing. I would recommend them to anyone looking to place young people in supported housing as they are one of our best providers

Harsha I want to thank you for the enormous support you have demonstrated over the short period of time we have worked together.
I should say that your support, as well as your availability, has enabled the young people to thrive and settle down as they should.
I want to wish you a Merry Christmas and look forward to continuing working with you in the same spirit in the new year.

Social Worker Care Management 16+, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.

I visited the placement for the very first time to see one of my young people in April 2018 and throughout the time I was there, I was made very welcome from the placement Manager Harsha. Before and during the time leading up to the visit, I was kept very well informed about my young person, any incidences that had occurred at the placement, any issues that needed addressing, the history and background of my young person’s and details of his immigration status. The information also included how he was integrating into the community and informing the young person that Harsha was working with Southend Borough Council Children’s Services and he was liaising with myself and my colleagues on his behalf. This ultimately prepared me for my visit, working with the young person and that both of us knew exactly what to expect from each other.

Since the visit I have had regular communications from Harsha the Care Home Manager by telephone and email. Also a detailed monthly progress report is sent regarding the young person’s progress in the placement.

The home is very comfortable for the young people and it is in a good location near to all amenities.
